Galesburg man charged with Warren County drunk driving crash

A Galesburg man faces multiple charges in Warren County after allegedly causing a crash Saturday night that injured at least two people.

The Warren County Sheriffs Department says 29-year-old Kenneth Dutton is jailed in Warren County on $250,000 bond facing a host of Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol charges.

Sheriff Martin Edwards says the accident happened around 7:30 Saturday night on U.S. 34 east of the Cameron exit in Warren County, after receiving a report of a wrong-way driver.  Edwards says Dutton’s vehicle struck two different west-bound vehicles.  Two people in the first vehicle were taken to a local hospital for their injuries. Their names and where they were transported aren’t being released, nor is any information about occupants in the second vehicle.

Dutton’s charges also include Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, driving on a revoked license, driving with no insurance, and resisting a peace officer.

He’s scheduled to be back in Warren County Circuit Court February 18th for a preliminary hearing.
