A woman suffered unknown injuries after being shot in an early morning incident in Galesburg.
According to Galesburg Police, at just before 5:25 Thursday morning, officers responded to an apartment in the 700-block of Ella Street in reference to a shooting.
Details are limited but police released that upon arrival, a female was found to have a single gunshot wound. She was stabilized at the scene and later transported to St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria for treatment.
