There’s a holiday event happening Thursday, December 19th to help out some local families during the season. The 3rd Annual Hy-Vee Hams for the Holidays campaign is tomorrow at the Public Safety Building in Galesburg. Beginning at 5:00 pm December 19th, Galesburg-area Hy-Vee employees and local first responders will be handing out 225 Hormel Cure 81 hams to benefit families in need. The event will run for one hour or whenever all the hams have been distributed. Galesburg is one of ten stops that Hy-Vee is making across eight states to deliver 5,000 hams to families in need. Hy-Vee is employee-owned, operates 265 stores in eight Midwestern states, and has more than 85,000 employees.
