Treat Street returns Saturday, October 26th

Get some trick-or-treating in early this year with Treat Street throughout downtown Galesburg on Saturday, October 26th. The annual event begins at 10:00 am at the WGIL Studios at 154 East Simmons Street. Once at the studio, participants will get a free treat street bag and register for prizes. The event is organized by the Galesburg Business Association. Fifty-nine businesses are participating this year. “There’s a chance you may not be able to hit every business,” Kate Bullis with the GBA said. “We are ranging from Cherry Street all the way over to the Discovery Depot (Children’s Museum). We’ll go as far south as Cooks & Company. Then, of course, all along Main Street. Innkeepers is also participating – so that is as far north as you would go. We (have) a map of all the joining businesses. We’re really excited to see all the participants this year.” Participants can register for one of two bikes that will be given away – one for a girl, one for a boy. Participating businesses will have an orange traffic cone outside. For the map of participating businesses, CLICK HERE.
