5th Annual CASA Lip Sync Battle is Thursday, Sept. 26

There’s a yearly event returning to the Knights of Columbus Hall on Thursday, September 26th featuring performances, costumes, and more. It’s the CASA of West Central Illinois 5th Annual Lip Sync Battle – with an 80s twist. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or at the door tonight. The event tonight is a fundraiser for CASA. “We are an agency who works with children who are experiencing foster care,” said Executive Director for CASA, Sara Robison. “We use community members as trained volunteers to support the children throughout their time in foster care and ensure that they are receiving the services that they need and finding permanency as quickly as possible.”

During the fundraiser, five teams tonight will compete in a lip sync battle set to 80s music. Attendees and supporters are encouraged to vote on their favorite. “We have a wine and spirits pull, we have a basket raffle, 50/50…” Robison said. “You can vote for your favorite team on our website. I will also have them on our Facebook Page. You’ll be able to click on the tab of your favorite team, enter a donation amount and vote.” The night will also feature 80s-themed rock band Past Curfew. Attendees are also encouraged to come in costume. The show starts at the KC Hall at 6:00 pm.
