Tumbling program now offered at Knox County YMCA

The Knox County YMCA has announced a brand new program to be offered for kids from 6-months old to 18 years. Kelly Corbin, Associate Executive Director of the Knox County YMCA tells WGIL they saw a need for a tumbling program and decided to act on it. “We wanted to help fill that need, so we partnered up and got this rolling pretty quickly,” she said. “We’re actually starting with 6-month-olds with the Parent/Child program, all the way up to age 18. (It will start with) Parent/Child, (then) beginner, novice, intermediate and advanced levels. So something for all your children.” Tumblers can sign up for a Monday, Tuesday or Thursday class which meets once a week which will equate to about 4 classes a month. The instructors for the program are Karen Rousey who has instructed tumbling programs in Bloomington, and Mandie Beckman who was an instructor for the former Lynn’s Tumbling in Knoxville. The cost is $25 for members and $55 for non-members.
Registration opened Monday, August 12th – visit the Knox County YMCA website to register.
