Two people charged with burglarizing storage units

Bond was set and a July 2nd preliminary hearing has been set for two people charged with burglarizing storage units in Galesburg.

23-year-old Jacob McGraw and 42-year-old Stephanie Bush made video appearances in Knox County Circuit Court on two felony counts of Burglary. Bond was set by Judge Paul Mangieri at $25,000 for Bush and $10,000 for McGraw.

According to police, officers were alerted to a burglary in progress at FHP Mini Storage near North Academy and West Ferris streets.

Once on scene, officers spoke with the owner who discovered several units broken into. He told police that as he was replacing locks on some of the units, he unknowingly locked someone inside.

That individual, identified as McGraw, managed to crawl out but would be arrested by police, along with Bush, in a vehicle that officers stopped.

A search of the individuals yielded the discovery of several items from different people, including jewelry, credit cards, bank account information, and more.
