$500,000 bond set for Roseville man charged with attempted murder

A Roseville man made his first appearance in court today after being charged Monday with Class X felonies of attempted murder and home invasion.

21-year-old, Charles Jacobsen, appeared with Public Defender Justin Bougher in Warren County Court Tuesday morning, where his bond was set at $500,000, $50,000 needed for Jacobsen to get out of jail.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Edwards has told The Register-Mail, the stabbing was the result of a dispute over a vehicle.

Jacobsen was arrested in Mercer County after fleeing.

Jacobsen already has a pending felony case in Warren County for criminal damage to government property and could face additional new charges in Mercer.

Jacobsen’s preliminary hearing was scheduled for in a week; May 14.
