Local author says everyone has a story to tell

Scott Cramer is the former pastor of Northwoods Church. According to Cramer’s website, he comes from a long line of storytellers. Cramer says after many years of ministry, and raising seven children, he learned that everyone has a story to tell. So it was over a year ago that Cramer decided to write his book titled: “And Then…:Never Stop Telling Stories”. “I would see a lot of people who, maybe they were in a season of life where they really thought it was the end,” Cramer said. “Like, they felt they had nothing else to contribute and just write (it) off like it was the end. What I also realized is that throughout God’s work, we see Him take all of these failures and continue to write and they were able to process an “And Then”. I just think, that understanding: no matter the season of life you’re in, there’s still more to your story.” Cramer said being able to communicate a story is valuable in any leadership role: whether you’re a dad, a coach, a teacher, or a salesperson. His book features questions after each passage. It also asks the question: What if instead of settling, “The End” of your story becomes the beginning of your greatest “And then…”? and a Ten Key Ingredients to telling an effective story. Wednesday, March 6th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Cramer will be at the Galesburg Public Library for a book signing with copies for sale.

Scott Cramer’s “And Then…:Never Stop Telling Stories” is available at Brighter Life Book Shop and online at Barnes & Noble and his website. Cramer, a rural Wataga resident is also featured on a podcast with Knox College Head Football Coach Damon Tomeo called “Building Your Team.” In the podcast, the two friends talk about how someone in a position of influence can be a good leader.
