QC residents charged with meth trafficking in Knox County

Two residents of the Quad Cities have been charged with trafficking methamphetamine.

27-year-old Kyle J.G. Hostens of Bettendorf, Iowa, and 33-year-old Brianna F. Martinez of East Moline made video appearances in Knox County Circuit Court Tuesday afternoon with Judge Patricia A. Walton.

Both individuals are charged with felony counts of Meth Trafficking, Meth Delivery between 5 and 15 grams, Meth Possession over 5 grams, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge Walton set bond at $100,000 for Hostens. He needs ten percent, or $10,000, to be released from jail. Martinez was given a $100,000 recognizance bond and released.

The public defender’s office was appointed to represent Hostens and Martinez.

Judge Walton set Martinez’s preliminary hearing for March 26th while Hostens’ was set for March 4th.
