Gift of Lights returns to Lincoln Park.

The 2nd Annual Gift of Lights returns this November 23rd and 24th in Galesburg’s Lincoln Park. The popular holiday drive-through light display last year saw an average of nearly 300 vehicles each night. This year, the Gift of Lights has doubled in size featuring over 30 lighted features says organizer Mona Magness. “We’re going to have the Washington D.C. trip kids out there this year and they’re going to be doing dollar hot chocolate right before you enter,” Magness said. “We have some amazing events happening (and a) good plan to get everyone involved. Christmas letters for Santa (can be brought). Santa will be making an appearance to pick those up. (Guests will receive) the signature candy cane at the end for everyone. It’s always a great time.” Canned goods will be collected each night of the Gift of Lights for local food banks. Hours and dates for the display are Fridays and Saturdays now through December 8th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Admission is $5 per vehicle. More information can be found at the Gift of Lights Facebook Page.
