U.S. Post Offices are hiring for upcoming holiday season.

Heading into the holidays, the United States Postal Service expects they will need more help. Starting Monday, September 10th and ending September 21st, you can apply for positions such as Casual Mail Handler, Holiday Clerk Assistant, or Postal Support Employee Mail Processing Clerk. All those jobs pay at least $16 an hour. USPS Field Recruiter Norma Taylor says to apply, just go to the website and search your state. “All the information is on our website and are available all through Illinois and some of the St. Louis, Missouri zip code ranges,” Taylor said. “The positions for holiday help are temporary from November 1st through January 4th, 2019. But there’s a possibility to come back for another 90-day appointment.” You must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment, or 16 with a high school diploma; be a U.S. citizen; be able to pass a background check and drug screening; and jobs that require driving require a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license. For more information, go to the USPS website.
