A Davenport, Iowa man was taken to OSF St. Francis in Peoria Wednesday morning following an alcohol-involved crash that occurred on I-74 in Knox County.48-year old Devin C. Nicholson was traveling west when he lost control and the semi-truck and trailer he was driving rolled into the ditch at Mile Marker 58, just west of the Spoon River Rest Area.
State and county police responded to the scene.
Nicholson had no passengers and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
He was cited for driving under the influence to go with three other alcohol related citations as well as several fairly minor traffic violations.
Nicholson’s medical condition is unknown at this time.
