The Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center wants to remind area citizens and blood donors to keep help keep the blood supply steady during the summer months.
Mississippi Valley supplies blood donations to 88 hospitals throughout Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin and is an exclusive provider for OSF St. Mary Medical Center.
Donors must be at least 17 years of age or 16 with parental permission, and must weigh at least 110 pounds. An I.D. is required to donate.
Until September 16th, donors in Galesburg can receive a voucher to redeem a $5 Amazon gift card or Subway gift card after an appointment.
Donations can be made Mondays and Tuesdays from 1:30pm to 6:00pm, the 2nd Friday of each month from 7:00am to 11:00am, and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month from 7:00am to 11:00am.
The donation center is located at 503 Knox Square Drive Suite 107 in Galesburg.
