Knox County Sheriff promotes new Lieutenant

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office has a new Lieutenant, following a promotion ceremony today.

Sheriff David Clague promoted Sergeant Jason Landers to the rank of Lieutenant in a ceremony that took place at the County Law Enforcement Center this morning.

According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Department, Lieutenant Landers had served as Detective Sergeant and been the Commander of the Investigations Division for the last 10 years, and will continue to serve in that position.

Landers is a 20-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Department and had been promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant in 2003 prior to becoming Detective Sergeant.
