Galesburg man facing Class X drug felony

A Galesburg man face a class X felony possession with intent to deliver cocaine of less than 100 grams.

32-year-old Devon L. Murphy made a video court appearance Thursday in Knox County Circuit Court where Judge Raymond Cavanaugh set his bond at $150,000.

According to police reports, officers executed a search warrant of a house on Fulton Street on Wednesday morning.

There officers arrested Murphy, and located over 21 grams of cocaine, including some that was hidden in his underwear at the time of the arrest. Hydrocodone pills were also discovered in the residence.

Besides the Class X felony, Murphy faces a Class 1 and Class 4 felony of possession of a controlled substance.
