Pair of crashes on IL164 Thursday morning

Two separate crashes this morning that brought Warren County Sheriff’s deputies to Illinois Route 164, the main passage from Galesburg to Monmouth, while U.S. Route 34 is being reconstructed.Around 5a.m. Sheriff Martin Edwards says that a semi-truck overturned overturned when driver, Jacqueline Horn of Muncie, Indiana failed to reduce speed attempting to turn right onto U.S. 34 from Rt. 164 going East.

Horn was not injured.

The second occurred at 10 a.m. as deputies responded to a car and semi that crashed into each other on Route 164 near 110th Street.

Brian Deppe of Galesburg was westbound and crossed the center line and struck a semi traveling in the opposite direction.

Deppe was taken to OSF St. Mary for treatment and his condition is unknown.

The semi-driver was without injuires.

Traffic was shut down for about an hour and a half.
