A 21-year old woman died this morning after being involved in a two-vehicle collision at 245th Avenue at 120th Street in Warren County.Katelyn A. Katzell was in a Chevrolet Sonic traveling west on 245th Avenue when she failed to stop at a stop sign.
Her car entered the intersection and into the path of a 2011 Chevy pickup truck, which hit Katzell’s front passenger side.
Her vehicle was shoved south of the intersection and the truck left the roadway into a field.
Both drivers were transported to OSF St.Mary’s Hospital.
The driver of the pick up was treated and released but Katzell died as a result of her injuries.
An Illinois State Police release says that she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
