Celebrating Record Store Day at DIG

Record Store Day is upon us.

There are nearly 1,400 independently owned record stores in the United States and many of them participate in Record Store Day.

One of those exists right in our community in DIG located at 70 N. Seminary St.

Record Store Day was started a decade ago to “celebrate the unique culture” surrounding these shops.

Many special release records are released just for Record Store Day every day year.

Not only will DIG have some of those and lots of other rare finds and great deals, not to mention live DJ’s spinning the wax all day.

The store will be open from 10 to 6 and then afterwards DIG’s cross-promotional partners, Budde’s will have bands The One Night Standards and The Memphis Dives playing with crates of records available.

Patrons who haven’t been to DIG in a while might not know that the vinyl records used to be kept in a side room in the back but now are featured in the front of the store right as you walk in.

Still they a selection of vintage clothes, jewelry, gifts and art
