Galesburg police investigating more thefts from motor vehicles

Another theft from a motor vehicle was reported and investigated Thursday afternoon.

Galesburg Police officers were dispatched to the 300-block of East Main Street for an earlier burglary at about 1:30.

The complainant told officers that items were taken out of his truck either on April first or the fifteenth. He said he often leaves his truck parked in the parking lot and does not drive it home.

Taken from the vehicle was a Northface backpack, Saucony running shoes, headphones, a heart rate monitor, and two jump ropes.

The victim also told officers that the glove compartment was emptied out and that he believed that his registration, insurance card, and vehicle’s title were taken from there.

No arrests have been made, and at the time of the report there were no suspects.
