Knox County Child Advocacy Center to hold 7th annual fundraiser.

A much-needed agency that bridged the gap between social services and the criminal justice system began in Knox County in 2002.  The Knox County Child Advocacy Center has been helping law enforcement and family service agencies interview child-victims of crimes and sexual assault – trying to make the victim feel as safe and comfortable as possible. The center also offers specialized trauma services. The organization is known as the Paladin Child Advocacy Center in Warren and Henderson Counties. Friday, April 6th, the center will be holding its 7th annual fundraiser. This year’s event is called “Paladin’s Medieval Auction Adventure” and will feature a live and silent auction, raffle, and quarter raffle. Executive Director of the Knox County Child Advocacy Center, Brooke Chesney tells WGIL that area businesses and sponsors have been exceptionally generous this year. “In the live auction we have some really exciting things,” Chesney said. “We have some hotel stays, there’s TPC Deere Run tickets, John Deere Classic tickets with a golf basket…..we have a “Detail for Life” from Dave’s Autobody….a child’s John Deere Gator. There’ll be things for the whole family. It’ll be great.” The fundraiser begins at 6:00pm tomorrow night at the Galesburg Knight’s of Columbus Hall.
