A Knoxville woman had her bond set at $3,000 in Knox County Circuit Court Monday.
20-year-old Madison L. Schwab made a video appearance with Judge Raymond Cavanaugh, who set her bond and assigned a public defender.
Galesburg Police Officers were called out to Walmart on Knox Square Drive Saturday afternoon for a retail theft.
Allegedly Schwab attempted to conceal and leave the store with about $30 in merchandise but was apprehended by store personnel.
According to police reports, Schwab admitted to officers she did try and take the products. When asked if she had any evidence in her purse, she allegedly told police she had an Adderall pill in a plastic bag.
Officers found the pill – which she claimed she had a current prescription for – as well as two IDs, one of which had a birth date that indicated she was 23 years old.
Reports indicate she allegedly told officers she bought the ID online.
She is charged with two Class 4 Felonies of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a fraudulent ID.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
