Stolen vehicle and rifle reported on Friday

Galesburg Police officers are on the lookout for a missing truck and rifle taken on Friday.

Officers were dispatched to Goodwill on North Henderson Street in response to a stolen vehicle call that occurred sometime before 10:11 in the morning.

According to police reports, the owner of a silver 2002 Toyota Tundra told offices he been inside the retail establishment for about ten minutes when he noticed the vehicle was missing.

He told officers he had left the keys in the unlocked pickup and he had noticed a dark-skinned man with a limp in the parking lot when he went in.

He would tell officers later on that there was a Remington Viper .22 caliber rifle in the truck that belonged to a friend of his from Missouri.
