OSF St. Mary Medical Center announces new president

OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg has welcomed and named its new president earlier this week. Jennifer Junis will be replacing Roxanna Crosser as St. Mary president. Prior to coming to Galesburg, Junis was the president of St. Paul Medical Center in Mendota, Illinois. Junis spent eight years as the chief nursing officer for OSF St. Luke in Kewanee.  “It’s been a great transition.,” Junis said. “Having a clinical background, and being a small rural hospital where you really learn the ins and outs of clinical and operations. It really helps when you move into that next role as a president – to really see that big picture, because so much of what we do is in that clinical and operational phase.” Junis is a University of Illinois Chicago grad with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a Master of Science in nursing administration. Crosser has taken a position as Western Region CEO for OSF Healthcare.  The Western Region includes OSF St. Mary, OSF Saint Luke in Kewanee, Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, and St. Anthony Health Center in Alton. In the statement, Crosser says she’s “excited” for here expanded role with OSF Healthcare and will “continue our dedication to the health of the communities we are privileged to serve as well as our incredible Mission Partners.”
