Benefit for an Alexis man could make up your weekend

For those who are interested in giving to someone in need, a benefit for an Alexis man is being held this weekend.

Steve Bruns was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, and due to the inability to work, help is needed to cover living, travel, and treatment expenses.

The benefit for Steve Bruns is being held at the Alexis Community Center on Palmer Street from 4-8 p.m.

The event includes a 50-50 Raffle, silent auction, music and karaoke by Mustread Madness, bake sale, and a free will donation meal by Young Men’s Health Club includes pork chops, baked beans, chips and a drink.

At the Discovery Depot on Saturday, kids can build and paint a bird feeder. The cost is $3 and registration is required.
