One woman was transported to OSF Holy Family in Monmouth Tuesday morning with what police are describing as non-life threatening injuries after a crash in Warren County.
26-year old Katie Torrance of Burlington, Iowa was traveling west on U.S. 34 around 6:45 a.m., approximately a half mile from 20th St.
Driving a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee she passed a semi but failed to return to the westbound lane before striking an oncoming Mack truck pulling a trailer in the east bound lane.
Torrance’s vehicle overturned and came to rest in the north side ditch of the roadway.
The truck she attempted to pass sustained damage from flying debris.
Torrance was cited for improper lane usage and its unknown if she remains hospitalized.
Agencies assisting on the scene include Central Warren Fire, Kirkwood Fire, Galesburg Hospital Ambulance Service, IDOT and Warren County Sheriff’s Department.
