Fire crews from several area fire departments responded to a large garage on fire at approximately 4pm Sunday afternoon near Henderson, Illinois. Upon arrival, fire officials reported flames showing throughout the one level structure. Smoke was reportedly visible from several miles away. The building was best known as the former location of Potsy’s Auto Repair although the business’s owner sold the property approximately 3 years ago. It is now privately owned and was used to store hay. The cause has not yet been determined.
Henderson Fire Department called for mutual Aid from neighboring fire departments including Rio, Oneida-Wataga and Galesburg. Galesburg -Hospitals Ambulance Service and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department also responded.
