Knox College named by New York Times as a school “doing most for American Dream”

Knox College is ranked among Harvard, Yale and the University of North Carolina as far as schools that are doing the most for the “American Dream.”
The New York Times places Knox #16 in these rankings.

The criteria were schools with a graduation rate above 75 percent, with economic diversity amongst students, how many low and middle income students graduate and how much those students pay to attend.

President Theresa Amott says the rankings findings “prove our commitment to our mission and students.”

The rankings were in the May 28 edition of the New York Times.

Two of the three years that the College Access Index has done these rankings Knox has been included, in 2015 as well as this year.
