The Carl Sandburg State Historic Site is welcoming local singer, songwriter and guitarist Mike Budde tonight for the site’s long-running Songbag concert series.
Budde is a Galesburg resident who’s spent years as a carpenter by day and musician by night playing both solo and with his band, The Rhythm Circus.
His performance will feature a mix of his own work, as well as favorites from blues legends John Prine and Tom Waits.
The Songbag concert will start at 7 pm at the Sandburg site’s barn at 313 East Third street here in Galesburg.
The concert is sponsored by the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and the Carl Sandburg Historic Site Association and is free to attend, but a $5 per person donation is suggested.
