Child Advocacy Center to host annual March Mania fundraiser

The Knox County Child Advocacy Center is hosting their annual March Mania for the Children on Friday at the Knights of Columbus Hall to help kick off April as Child Abuse Prevention Month.The event is basketball themed in keeping with the March Madness tournaments and will include the Quarter Auction which begins at seven p-m.

Top auction items include a St. Louis Getaway, Disney World tickets, a Bradley Smoker plus many more items and gift cards to area businesses.

The event is also a farewell to outgoing Executive Director Judy Guenseth who has served as the executive director for the last four years as part of her twenty years in social service.

This event will be her last official activity as director of the Child Advocacy Center and the new director will be introduced at the event.

The center serves children who are victims of sexual or extreme physical abuse in Knox, Warren and Henderson counties and provides counseling services to children free of charge.

Tickets are twenty dollars in advance and twenty-five at the door.
