Trick or treating, a “Sweet Transvestite” and moving into a new house highlight your weekend in the Knox County area.

The cult tradition will continue Saturday at the Orpheum Theatre with a midnight screening.
Doors open at 10 p.m. and a costume contest will be held at 11 p.m., but only those 18 and over will be allowed in and with a valid ID.
Early Saturday, Habitat for Humanity dedicates their 50th home.
Executive Director Jordan Knight tells Galesburg’s Morning News on WGIL that along with the dedication of the newest home, they’ll have a mortgage burning for other Habitat home owners.
The burning signifies for three families, owners of Habitat houses six, eight and 17, that they’ve paid off their mortgage.
“Man, it’s awesome,” Knight says. “Somebody is just on the cusp of starting off on their journey and somebody else has finished their’s up and it comes full circle. So, we have three families that have done that in the last few months.”
The family will take ownership over house 50 and start moving in immediately following the dedication.
Knight says it’s been five months since the groundbreaking.
Finally Treat Street organized by the Galesburg Business Association is set for Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Bring the kids downtown in their costume to go trick or treating at a number of Galesburg’s downtown businesses.
Different than past years is the GBA won’t be providing canvass bags, so come prepared.
