An motorcyclist is dead after a collision with a box truck on I-80 Sunday afternoon.
Illinois State Police say the box truck was westbound in a construction zone near Colona.
The motorcycle collided with the truck while trying to enter the interstate from the Cleveland Rd. Ramp on Mile Marker 6 causing fatal injuries.
Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois State Police responded to the scene.
Westbound I-80 traffic was rerouted for about two hours after but have since reopened.
The name of the deceased is being held pending notification.
The crash remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police.
