The Illinois Department of Transportation says motorists could have to wait up to 15 minutes at times for bridge construction being done near Knoxville, Wednesday evening and overnight.
Lane closures are expected eastbound on I-74 at Exit 51 Wednesday evening starting at 8 p.m. through 8 a.m.Thursday morning. The closures are due to the installation of bridge girders.
IDOT asks motorists to slow down and use extreme caution while driving through the work zone.
