Doing work on a house can lead a home owner all over town finding all that they need.
The perk of the Monmouth Home Show hosted annually by the Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce is that all the essentials for the job are in one spot.
Chamber Executive Director Angie McElwee tells Galesburg’s Evening News on WGIL that there’s hardly an aspect of home repair that isn’t covered at the show.
“We have home remodeling supplies like siding, windows, lumber companies, flooring and sun rooms,” McElwee says. “Local lenders will also be on hand, as well as insurance companies, basement people, so we can just run the whole gamut. If you need it for your home you can probably find it there.”
The show is Saturday, February 13 from 9 am until 2 pm at the1st Street Armory in Monmouth.
Not only is admission free but there will be plenty of door prizes including a $100 gift certificate to either Monmouth Save-A-Lot or Monmouth County Market.
If you work up an appetite Alfano’s Pizzeria will be there to provide sandwiches and of course, pizza.
New vendors this year include a nursery and basement experts.
