Kung Fu Panda 3 was the number-one movie at the box office for a second straight weekend. Its $21 million tally between Friday and Sunday raises its total to $69 million. The Coen Brothers latest film, Hail, Caesar!, opened in second with $11.4 million. The Revenant starring Leonardo DiCaprio earned another $7.1 million bringing it’s total to nearly $150 million. Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues to reach big milestones. The blockbuster raked in $6.9 million over the weekend, pushing its domestic gross over the $900 million mark. It’s the first movie to do that. Globally the flick topped the $2 billion mark. It’s the third movie to do that, after Avatar and Titanic. The Nicholas Sparks romance The Choice premiered in fifth with $6.1 million, just ahead of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which made $5.2 million in its debut.
