OSF PromptCare expanding with move to St. Mary

The OSF PromptCare Clinic has served walk-in patients’ sudden minor injuries and illnesses for over 20 years on Henderson Street.
Next week they’ll bid farewell to that location and plant themselves on the campus of OSF St. Mary Medical Center.

The relocation means expanded facilities including three new exam rooms and a triage area specifically for clinic patients.

OSF PromptCare Supervisor, Ramona Tinkham tells WGIL the move spells better overall care for patients.

“The relocation of PromptCare on campus will provide opportunities for patients to receive the care they need and allow us to provide emergent care in a more timely manner,” says Tinkham.

She adds that OSF has for some time been formulating ways to streamline patient care.

“They’ve been working on this for a while, just trying to integrate the services so everything could be in a neutral area for the patients so it’s more convenient.”

President of OSF St. Mary, Roxanna Crosser in a press release says this move pursues OSF’s goal of serving those with “prompt needs” and at times when “physicians offices” are not open.

Saturday will be the finale for Henderson Street, Sunday the clinic will be closed for moving equipment and Monday Jan. 25 normal operating hours will begin at the St. Mary’s campus location.

Regular hours for the clinic are Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m
