Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now the the top-grossing movie of all-time in North America. On Wednesday the blockbuster surpassed Avatar, which earned $760.5 million. The Force Awakens did it in only 20 days, while it took Avatar a year, including a re-release, to reach its total. The seventh Star Wars flick still has a ways to go before beating the $2.78 billion earned globally by Avatar. So far, its worldwide total is $1.56 billion.
