January 2016 Teacher of the Month: Ryan Hart

105.3 KFM along with Galesburg Nissan, Tompkins State Bank, Lacky Monuments and Casey’s Party Creations congratulate Ryan Hart, January’s KFM Teacher of the Month. Ryan was nominated by one of his students, Jennifer Belleville. And this is what she had to say about her teacher:

What sets this teacher apart from others?: He’s nice, funny, amazing and he makes us laugh a lot. He also told me to stick up for myself and others when they are bullied. And I do. His inspiration has hada big impact on my life. I can talk to him about anything and he will give me great advice. He makes me feel better about myself. He’s like my second father. He’s like my “school dad”. He has a big impact on everybody’s life, even my parents life. He’s an amazing teacher. He also is very good to all other kids and teachers. He helps people a lot. And he even encourages people to not be like everyone else telling us to stand out be unique. “Be yourself not what other people want you to be.”

What is one thing this teacher does, that may not be part of their job, but they do it anyway to help you or your child?: He encourages us to do stuff we don’t think we can do. He inspires each and everyone of the kids in the school especially me. I look up to him. And he acts like my dad and tells me to not do what other people want me to do like fight or hurt people and he protects me from people who want to hurt me.

Give an example of a way that this teacher has helped or impacted you or your child: He has impacted me and my family’s life. All my brothers and my sister keep telling me that they love him and that he’s someone you’ll never forget. He has helped me soo much last year. I was shy in his class and i would bully myself and let myself down and one day he came up to me and said Jennifer, you’re a beautiful girl and anyone would be lucky to have me. And not to let myself down because he said I’m worth more than gold and I should not forget that. He said you have good friends family and a great life to bully myself.

As KFM’s Teacher of the Month, Ryan receives the Big Red Apple Award, a $100 gift card, and balloons. Honoring teachers who make a difference with the Big Red Apple Award from Galesburg Nissan, Tompkins State Bank, Lacky Monuments, Casey’s Party Creations and 105.3 KFM
