Star Wars: The Force Awakens continues its historic box-office run, breaking a bunch of new records over the holiday weekend. The flick earned $153.5 million, giving it the best second weekend of all time. The Force Awakens has made $545 million in its first 10 days, also a record. It’s already the fifth highest grossing movie in history, surpassing The Dark Knight. The seventh Star Wars has raked in $1 billion globally, the fastest flick to do so. And with a bunch of new movies opening this weekend, this was easily the biggest Christmas weekend ever at the box office.

The Will Ferrell – Mark Wahlberg comedy Daddy’s Home led the newcomers with $38.8 million. Joy, starring Jennifer Lawrence, opened in third with $17.5 million. The Will Smith football drama Concussion debuted in sixth with $11 million, while the Point Break remake was eight with $10.2 million. The Hateful Eight put up strong numbers in limited release, making $4.5 million in only 100 theaters
