105.3 KFM congratulates Alice Ruben, KFM's Teacher of the Month for May. Alice was nominated by Nancy Hall, who has a son in Mrs Rubin's class, and this is what she had to say about her:

"I would like to nominate Alice Rubin, 3rd grade teacher at Galesburg Christian School. She is an exemplary teacher and role model. Alice Rubin has dedicted her life to serving others. She holds a masters degree in elementary education, worked in Brazil as a missionary after college and has been a devoted teacher at GCS for the past 12 yrs. I don't know how she finds any time for herself as she also teaches Sunday School, hosts Chess Club for the students at GCS, and works with other childrens programs at her church. I feel that my son has grown emotionally, mentally, and spiritually with Mrs. Rubin's guidance this year. She seems to have the gift to find and develop the very best in her students. In my son's words, "It is hard to tell if Mrs. Rubin is ever angry. No matter what happens or what we do, she is always smiling! " Our family is very thankful that we have found a top notch school with an extraordinary teacher! Mrs. Rubin definitely deserves to be KFM teacher of the month"
