105.3 KFM congratulates Jackie Axtell, a teacher at GHS, May’s KFM Teacher of the Month. Jackie was nominated by Brett Sharp who is a student in Jackie’s class. This is what Brett had to say about her:

My name is Brett Sharp. I’m a Senior at Galesburg High School and I’d like to nominate Jackie Axtell as Teacher of the Month. Mrs Axtell is the most wonderful teacher I’ve ever had. Everyday, she makes every student she comes in contact with feel better about themselves. She makes her students feel that they can accomplish anything. She is very special and makes me want to be a better person. And that is very special. I’ll be going to college next year and I doubt I would have made that decision without her help. Mrs Axtell also has started a program called Fairy Godmother Fashions were people can donate gently used prom dresses to students who normally wouldn’t be able to get a dress for the prom.

As Teacher of the Month, Jackie receives a $100 gift card from Toys and Teachers and the Big Red Apple Award from Lacky Monuments. Congratulations Jackie Axtell, May’s KFM Teacher of the Month!!
