105.3 KFM congratulates Mrs Karen Stevens March’s KFM Teacher of the Month. Karen was nominated by Blaire James (pictured to the left).. And this is what she had to say about her:
Karen has been in the teaching field for around 23 years maybe even more. Karen currently has to prepare work for 4 different grade levels for her classroom. Karen's class is an EBD classroom, which means that she has the students who are unable to perform in a regular education class because of their behaviors. Many students Karen teaches has physical and verbal aggression issues and she seems to be the one that always had to take the brunt of those issues!! She has been kicked, punched, bitten, and called every name in the book and she still comes to school every day with a smile on her face!! No matter what happens to her she still loves those kids and she does everything possible to help them. Karen is always staying after school to work and is involved in tutoring after school. Karen is and has been an exceptional teacher for years!!
