105.3 KFM congratulates Pat Olson, February’s KFM Teacher of the Month. Pat was nominated by Roxanne Green a fellow teacher at Gale School in Galesburg. And this is what she had to say about her:

I have worked with Pat for almost 20 years, and she is one of the kindest, most thoughtful people as a teacher and a collegue. She does not know how to say no to requests from others, rarely gets upset, and does all this while trying to provide a full and fair education to students who need all the extra support and care they can get. She can be found practicing counting or letter recognition for the fifth week in a different format each time in hopes of helping the student.  She cares for her students personally by  finding those little hooks that help motivate them to learn. It might be a monster truck magazine or a special treat  for the student once a goal has been met.  Pat will be retiring at the end of this school year.  She will be missed not only by her students, but also by all those who work with her.

As KFM’s Teacher of the Month, Pat  receives a $100 gift card from Toys and Teachers, and the Big Red Apple Award courtsey of Lacky Monuments and 105.3 KFM Today’s refreshing Light Rock!
