The creative works of Carl Sandburg College students will be featured during the annual juried Student Art Show from March 25-May 6 in the Lonnie Eugene Stewart Art Gallery on the Main Campus in Galesburg, 2400 Tom L. Beginning Monday, Feb. 4, Monmouth College’s free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will once again be available to area residents. Through April 15, Monmouth accounting students and faculty will be available in the College’s Center for Science and Business to help local community members file their 2018 tax returns. Known as VITA, the free service – which assists taxpayers in filing state and federal individual income tax returns – is provided in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service. Rather than focus on ancient events in Greece or Rome, the next Archaeology Lecture at Monmouth College will discuss a much more recent time – Ottoman Palestine in the late 19th century.
