The people of Galesburg will get a unique opportunity to see themselves in a work of art, with the public unveiling of the “Galesburg Portrait Project”, from 5 to 7 pm Thursday, March 31 at the Box, Kellogg and Simmons street in Galesburg.   Created by John Bakker, Artist-in-residence that past fall at Knox College, the project consists of box-like panels with hand-painted portraits of over 300 Galesburg residents.
