Oneida Sweet Corn Festival

The Oneida Sweet Corn Festival will be held in downtown Oneida on Saturday, July 27. The event will feature a full day of free entertainment for all ages and delicious food, including locally grown sweet corn.
A few highlights include the the inaugural Oneida Sweet Corn Festival 5K race, which begins at 8:00 am. Runners and walkers are welcome. Racers will have electronic chips for accurate timing. The 10th Annual Oneida Car Show and a craft and vendor fair both are from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. The parade steps off at 11:00 am and will circle from ROWVA High School to Century Park.
Food will be available for purchase in Century Park, with breakfast offered from 8:00 am – 10am and lunch from 10:30 am -1:00 pm, as well as free locally grown sweetcorn provided by generous donors. Krista Swanson, an Oneida resident and coordinator of this year’s event said, “Building off the success of last year, we are excited to host another Sweet Corn Festival in Oneida. It is great to have an event that promotes community engagement, brings people together, and allows us to celebrate our strong agricultural heritage.”
This family-friendly event will also include kids games from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, including the popular sweetcorn train introduced in 2018, and a fundraiser benefit 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament organized by Bethany Baptist Church in Altona.
Swanson added, “We are proud to hold this event in Oneida and hope many residents of our community and surrounding communities will join us for a day of fun and celebration.”
