I was born July 13th, 1970 in Macomb, Illinois, but was raised in Monmouth and fell in love with radio at an early age. As most radio geeks did, I had a stereo set up in my room with a microphone and would record myself on cassette playing a DJ. I grew up listening to “Spike at the Mic” on the old KIIK 104 and loved watching WKRP in Cincinnati and knew then I wanted to be in radio. When I got into high school, I had a chance to be on the radio when I would report the weather conditions from the school’s weather station. I was hired by the radio station by the time I turned 16, and have been working in radio ever since!  Outside of radio I enjoy watching movies, cooking, and being active with my church. My favorite sports teams are the Cubs, Bears, and Illini. In 2005 I married my wife Sherry (who used to be a Sox fan until I converted her to the north side) and now have a step-son Cody.

Not alot is known about the host of the KFM Flashback Lunch...he has proven to be quite elusive of our attempts to find out personal information. Here’s what we do know: He’s been in radio for about 20 years. He likes baseball, in fact we have unconfirmed reports that he once played the Philly Fanatic but got beat up by a 10 year old who stole his nachos before the game even started so he never actually peformed during the game. On a serious note, Scott has a serious addiction to music. His musical interests range from Alice Cooper to Mozart. He is known to spend countless hours in his home studio creating and recording his own music.

You could probably say that radio is in my blood. I built my first radio in second grade and have loved to tinker with electronics ever since. While in college, I had the opportunity to connect my love of electronics with broadcasting. It was a great match for me and I have spent the better part of over 30 years working in radio. My Dad advised me to pick a career doing something I really liked. I’ve been fortunate to do that and to have talented and fun co-workers here at 105.3 KFM. I am proud to be a Galesburg native, husband, father, and owner of three dogs.
