New York man arrested with 2 pounds of cocaine at Galesburg train station

A 19-year-old New York man was arrested Thursday at the Galesburg Amtrak Depot with approximately 2.2 pounds of cocaine.

Darian T.J. Sharrow was apprehended by Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies.

The department says the street value of the cocaine Sharrow was said to be holding is approximately $100,000.

Sharrow is facing charges of possession of controlled substances over 900 grams, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and controlled substance trafficking.

If convicted Sharrow would get a minimum sentence of 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and a maximum of 60.
Federal charges are also possible.
