Trap Shoot Fundraiser Sunday for rural ambulance service

A rural ambulance service is holding a Trap Shoot Fundraiser to the north of Galesburg on Sunday, August 4.

The Altona-Oneida-Wataga Ambulance Service’s annual fundraiser brings participants out to shoot, eat, and have a good time while raising funds for new medical equipment for the volunteer service.

Pat Hennenfent with the ambulance service says that registration for the trap shoot starts at 11:45 a.m. with practice rounds starting at 12:00. The competition will begin at 1:00.

Hennenfent adds that participants can bring a four-person team and register together, or be assigned a team if they don’t want to shoot as an individual.

The cost is $20 to register and $5 for practice rounds.

Food is being sold by Henn House BBQ and there are numerous raffle and silent auction items available.

The fundraiser is being held at 245 Moshier Hill Road.
