Knox Coordinator for Residential Life found dead in campus residence

Knox College Coordinator for Residential, Fraternity and Sorority Life Frantz Salomon was found dead in his on-campus apartment Monday.

Knox County Coroner Mark Thomas determined Solomon died of natural causes.

Police responded to his residence in Williston Hall on South Street around 10:45 a.m.

Salomon started working at Knox in January of this year. College spokeswoman Cheri Siebken said in his role Salomon supervised resident assistants and oversaw fraternity and sorority life.

Counselors and staff are said to be available for the next few days on campus for students grieving during what Siebken calls a “difficult time for the campus community.”
